ABOUT GIDSS
GIDSS which stands for ‘Gandhian Initiative for Development of Support Services’ is a registered Canadian not-for-profit organization that was established in 2011 by Dr. Raminder Singh, former crisis counsellor & Program Coordinator at VS Toronto Police. GIDSS believes in practicing the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi by serving those less fortunate and by spreading love and peace in the world. We help others through the sharing of networks and resources. Our current initiatives involve empowering young girls through scholarship programs, supporting the homeless and vulnerable groups through ventures like OnlineThali.com which is a restaurant turned food bank located in Brampton. We have been helping thousands of seniors become more tech-savvy through programs such as ‘Smart Help for Seniors’, ‘Promoting Healthy Living’, and lot more. Here at GIDSS we spread awareness on many community issues and challenges and offer co-op and volunteer positions for anyone interested in not-for-profits and making a difference in the world!
