SICA is a non-profit charitable organization that promotes Indian culture and heritage in Ottawa, Canada.
SICA is the cultural gateway for the Indian community in Ottawa to promote traditional South Indian art forms. These include Carnatic music and classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Mohiniaattam.

Our History
SICA Ottawa was the brainchild of (late) Professor Subramanian of Carleton University. What started as a small group of about 15 families coming together on a cold January afternoon in 1975, is now a haven for the South Indian classical arts in Ottawa.
Our Mission
Promote interest in the classical arts of South India, including but not limited to: Carnatic music, bharatanatyam, kuchipudi, kathakali and mohiniaattam.
Encourage and showcase local talent by organizing cultural events.
Bring our members quality programs featuring leading artists from North America and overseas.
Grow and maintain relationships with sister cultural organizations within and outside of Ottawa
